The 2020 Audi A4 belongs to the A4 B9 (8W) generation, model years 2016–2025. Most procedures are shared with the other years of this generation, but engines, equipment and wiring changed from year to year. Compared with 2019, the engine list adds the 2.0 TFSI (EA888evo) (DMTA, DPAA, DMTC, DPUA), the 2.0 TFSI (EA888 evo) (DMSA, DMSB), the 3.0 TDI (EA897 Gen. III) (DMKC, DMKD).

On the 2.0 TFSI (EA888 Gen. III) the jobs owners look up most are the coolant pump and thermostat housing, the PCV valve and cleaning carbon from the intake valves. On the EA288 2.0 TDI the particulate filter, AdBlue (SCR) system and EGR cooler are the usual jobs, along with the timing belt.
On a 2020 car the 10th character of the VIN is “L”, a quick way to confirm the model year before you order.
Dealer information, organized for one car. Audi technicians look up repairs in Audi's own service system. We take the same information for your VIN, leave out what doesn't apply to your A4 and deliver it as one PDF within 12–24 hours.
Every chapter is bookmarked and linked, from maintenance and brakes to the engine, gearbox and body electrics. The wiring diagrams show each circuit with its connectors, ground points and fitting locations.
